The role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a HR Advisor who is looking to step up as a HR Manager/Consultant and looking to progress in their career. This is a fast paced, hands on, sometimes hectic position that needs someone flexible who can work well on their own and also in a team and be able to operate across the business at different levels.

The HR Consultant will assist one of our client sites working one day per week with a possibility of increasing to more days. 

The duties will include:

To undertake a broad range of HR work in line with customer needs and plans, covering the employee lifecycle:

  • Recruitment, employee relations, performance management, absence management, payroll, benefits, pensions, staff engagement, organisational development, training, health & safety and HR systems.
  • Undertaking all generalist HR administration as part of the role which will include:
  • Assisting with the monthly preparation of payroll information,
  • Administer pensions file and collate and action pension starters and queries.
  • Issue contracts and monitor responses.
  • Conduct Induction for new joiners.
  • Process payroll.
  • To keep up to date with the latest issues in HR and Employment Law in order that Bradfield is able to demonstrate best practice at all times.  Maintain Bradfield “driving license” and attend BCL training sessions and internal meetings.
  • Strong Employee Relations.

You must be based in Bedford or be willing to travel to Bedford for the role.


  • Associate Member of the CIPD or a Business Degree.
