About the role:

We are at an exciting point in our growth. We are launching our newly refined programme from September 2016 and growing our supporter network of volunteers, businesses, schools, grant makers, and individual donors to enable us to deliver our programme in 70 schools nationally by 2020. The School and Business Partner Manager (SBPM) will work closely with our Head of External Relations and the External Relations team to build the relationships needed to achieve our 2020 vision.

The SBPM will be responsible for recruiting new London schools to The Access Project, and stewarding relationships with business partners in London through a combination of financial and volunteer commitments. They will design, introduce and evaluate a strategy for both these strands of work, as well as ensuring colleagues across The Access Project support and understand these strategies. The successful candidate will also provide support to our West Midlands region in their school recruitment and business partner stewardship, and to any new regions to which we introduce our programme. In addition, there is potential for the role to expand to include research, recruitment and stewardship of relationships with new stakeholders as we develop our External Relations strategy.

The SBPM post holder will join our newly formed and developing External Relations team working as a group to meet fundraising targets, and school and business partner recruitment and retention targets. These are crucial to enable our growth, and ultimately ensure we can support as many students as possible from disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve their potential and secure a place at the best university possible for them.
