Operations Executive - Open to flexibility

SALARY & BENEFITS: circa £25 – 30k (depending on skills and experience)

ROLE & COMPANY OVERVIEW

NANNYcare is a small but very successful company that distributes a unique range of infant formulas to UK retailers including Waitrose, Ocado, Boots, Asda, Sainsbury’s,  independent pharmacies and health stores.

To support the continued growth we’re enjoying, we’re looking to appoint an Operations Executive who will assume day-to-day responsibility for a number of key areas of the business; each being essential in maintaining the first class service we strive to provide to both customers, consumers and suppliers.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The principle responsibilities of the role are:

  • Day-to-day management of logistical processes relating to inventory management and sales order processing, including:
  1. Liaising with external logistics partners (shipping agents and distribution) to ensure the smooth transition of stock from the manufacturer in New Zealand to our retail customers in the UK, Ireland and Holland
  2. Processing of customer orders
  3. Managing all queries relating to stock and sales transactions
  4. Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all inventory and sales transactions using both proprietary and bespoke systems
  5. Managing the availability of customer specific stock
  6. Reconciling physical stock with system stock
  • Day-to-day management of financial processes relating to inventory management and sales order processing, including:
  1. Raising customer sales invoices and credit notes as required
  2. Checking and approving supplier invoices
  3. Liaising with the finance team regarding any necessary stock adjustments
  • Production and distribution of a range of weekly/monthly reports relating to inventory and sales activities, using both proprietary and bespoke systems
  • To be proactive in the review and development of systems and processes relating to the inventory management and sales order processes
  • As part of a small team, general office duties are shared such as:
  1. Monitoring and replenishment of stock & supplies
  2. Management of petty cash
  3. Organising couriers and transport as required
  4. Management of post
  5. Managing non-consumer care incoming phone calls and emails as necessary

In addition to the above principle responsibilities the Operations Executive will be expected to provide support in other areas of the business as required, including cover when colleagues are absent.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Holiday entitlement:

25 days per annum, of which up to 3 days must be taken when the business closes over the Christmas period, plus Public/Bank Holidays.

Pension:

Access to a pension scheme as required by the provisions of the “automatic enrolment” legislation, will be available to qualifying employees as from February 2017.
