Our client, based in Central London, is a leading international technology consultancy with clients within commercial and public sector organisations. They are now seeking a Financial Director on a part time basis for c.24 hours per week.   This is a new role to help manage their rapidly growing business.
The FD will play a key role in the business, devising an pursuing an effective financial strategic plan for the business, ensuring an efficient and credible internal finance function. The role will lead and manage a small team as well as roll sleeves up and get hands dirty, supporting team delivery. Responsibilities will include interpretation of financial information, providing updates and robust reports around cash flow, accounts and other financial transactions, seeking out methods to minimise risks at all times. Ensuring all company's financial practices are in line with legislation and statutory requirements, reviewing policies and procedures and creating a function that delivers quality results.

Candidates will be degree qualified with a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW). Strong analytical skills are key as is the ability to provide advice and practical business solutions. Understanding, identifying and managing risk coupled with strong planning and problem solving skills are important and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and clients alike. Proven team management experience is important and the ability to direct and lead by example. Ideally candidates will have some experience working within a technology business, but certainly experience within a consultancy/project environment as well as familiarity of SME/growth businesses.
