Role description

We are looking to recruit a number of Administrators to join our Engagement Support Centre (ESC). These are new opportunities to meet the continuing demand for administrative support.

The ESC was developed to support Audit and Risk Advisory staff and engagement teams with the completion of administrative work. Support provided by the ESC works to reduce the administrative burden placed on practitioners throughout the course of a typical project life cycle or bid process. In addition, the ESC offers assistance in the completion of practice management related admin such as compliance monitoring. The ESC supports more efficient and cost effective working practices, whilst ensuring quality standards are maintained and improved.

Team members will have the opportunity to become subject matter specialists, develop best practice and play a key role in helping deliver a high quality service to our clients. Our established training programmes will provide you with an opportunity to develop both your technical and soft skills.

Working hours

We are offering 2 part time flexible working options:

  • 20+ hours/week (working pattern can be flexible); and/or
  • Term time only (or similar arrangement).

For both options, we envisage that the earliest start time would be 8.30am and the latest finish time would be 17.30pm to meet our business needs, but we are flexible as to your work pattern (e.g. 10am ‑ 3pm Monday to Friday, or 8.30am ‑ 5pm Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday would both be viable work patterns) and we can discuss your preferences during the recruitment process.


You will have responsibility for supporting teams and managers with the delivery of project support, business development and practice management related administrative tasks.

Activities include but are not limited to:

  • Organising timely billing, budget reviews and analysis of project finances
  • Organising meetings, drafting agendas and minute taking
  • Preparation of reports, letters and other documents including branding, proof reading and formatting
  • Supporting client take on procedures and client file management
  • Compliance monitoring activities such as timesheet and performance management feedback chasing


To be considered for the role you must have:

  • Excellent organisational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritise demands
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to use initiative, be proactive and work independently. Identifying appropriate solutions to problems and acting accordingly
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations
  • The ability to work as part a team and demonstrate flexibility where required
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
