Direct Payments Support Worker - Part-time 21 hours/wk

Salary S01 £29,133 to £30,830 including LW pro rata for 21 hours/week (actual £17,479.80 to 18,498 pa), initial until September 2017 with possibility of extension.

You will promote the direct payments service, and assist in providing support to older people including from BME communities who wish to receive or are receiving direct payments from the London Borough of Camden. 

Essential requirements: knowledge and understanding of the main principles of direct payments; understanding of and commitment to the social model of disability; understanding of the issues/needs relating to older people; experience of giving information and advice to individuals and groups; excellent numeracy, case management and communication skills; good initiative; ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel.

This post is based in Tavis House, Tavistock Square near Euston Station which has excellent transport links.  AUC offers a contributory pension, season ticket or bicycle loan facility.
