The Innovation and Digital Development team play a pivotal role in building the future digital competitive advantage for LBG - to transform Lloyds Banking Group's capability to be the best bank for customers, to drive new and protect existing revenue and to drive a low cost operating model.
In this role that matters, you will lead a team of specialists to facilitate the innovation process by generating research based ideas, and building and iterating commercially viable experiments, often partnering with Fintechs. You will have the ability to operate decisively within a complex environment to set direction and challenge the status quo.

Key Accountabilities will include prioritising ideas generated and planning experiment development activity, including management of budget and effective allocation of resources; Approving that adequate research has been undertaken to define an issue or need, specifying additional requirements where necessary and leading a team to turn ideas generated into robust concepts that solve customer and / or business problems. Additionally you will be able to turn experiment vision into a clear solution roadmap of activities and deliverables to create a robust experiment and collaborate with fintech and wider digital community to source new ideas and concepts and stay abreast of developments, and proactively build on these learnings.
We will also look to you to identify cutting edge approaches to concept development, leading and educating the team in applying them where appropriate and to educate senior stakeholders across the Group in innovative approaches and ways of thinking (e.g. test and learn).

What we'll need from you:
You will need to have a proven track record for delivering projects in a fast pace environment using agile methodology. In addition to this, you will need a solid understanding of Fintechs and provide adequate findings to engage with senior stakeholders to influence the strategy of the business based on your findings and developments. Coupled with this, you will should also be need to be a strong strategic thinker and be able to identify the future trends in the industry using multiple and expert resources.
