Telefonica Digital UK is the digital services division of Telefonica UK - one of the largest and most innovative telecoms businesses in the UK. These units are part of the Telefonica Digital UK team and we are now embarking on the next exciting phase of our journey to radically scale adoption, usage and revenues - for the digital services markets that we`re in today, as well as extending into new markets.

Your Role:

Commercial Development is responsible for innovation and creating products, services and partnerships which deliver incremental revenue streams to our core business.

We are looking for an experienced leader to lead the commercial management team. Responsible for leading the direct and virtual team to take early life products to market through o2 and Non O2 channels and deliver the financial and customer KPIs associated.

You`ll have experience of working with early life products, commercialisation of products and extensive knowledge of Digital product development. You`ll be passionate about technology, customer experience and have experience of delivering through partners. You`ll be able to approach challenges with an innovative and agile mind-set to enable outstanding customer experience.

Responsibilities:
-Commercial accountability to reach agreed customer numbers, revenue and profit
- Responsibility for early life Product development and in life product development evolving our products and services to be brilliant for our customer
-You`ll use customer and industry insights to continuously iterate the way we do things and achieve a stronger commercial position for our business
-You`ll be the ambassador for Digital UK and commercial innovation both internally and externally attending events and meetings
-You`ll have a strong partner network which you will leverage to sell and promote our products and services
-You`ll work closely with our Partner organisations to ensure CSI, Compliance and Financial KPIs are being exceeded
-You`ll be measured on compliance, CSI, and financial metrics
-You`ll look for new partnership opportunities to deliver commercial benefit to our business and brilliant digital experiences for our customers.
-You`ll be responsible for proactive customer engagement to deliver to commercial KPIs and get feedback for continuous improvement

Skills and Experience:
-Previous experience in commercial product development
-Ability to demonstrate applying new thinking to established sectors for commercial gain
-Experience of managing significant commercial, brand and operational risk scenarios in the multi-millions
-Experience of managing large scale and high profile business or programmes which cross multiple areas of the organisation
-Strong stakeholder management skills and confident dealing with UK Board
-Experience of working closely with external partners where the relationship/responsibilities are sometimes unclear
-Ability to grasp the complexities of technical delivery and take the right business decisions based on the opportunities and limitations of what can be delivered
-Experience of leading people in virtual and or direct/multi-level teams
-Comfortable with ambiguity, and delivering under pressure in complex fast paced environments
-Ability to demonstrate where agile/ innovative/practical thinking and workarounds have been used to condense delivery timescales, hit deadlines or to overcome barriers to market
