PR & Social Media Freelancer - Part-time

Reporting to the CEO, you will be an integral member of a small, dynamic team, focused on delivering targeted press coverage, social media, and events to increase GENEU brand awareness and drive customer footfall to store and online.

You will need be confident using your initiative, to drive through to fruition a variety of PR and social media projects including: press events and communications for key brand initiatives, creative social media content and campaigns, and targeted partnership, brand and press/blogger events.

Your role will also include implementing, analysing and reporting on social media, press campaigns and events. You will be a strong team player and will be required to communicate effectively to VIPs and journalists and professionally represent the GENEU brand.  You will be working in a dynamic fast-moving innovative company and will be fully committed and passionate about working for a start-up business.

Experience & Skills needed:

  1. University graduate or equivalent with relevant experience working in a luxury and/or beauty PR environment.
  2. Strong knowledge and contacts for beauty and lifestyle press, and social media influencers are essential requirements for this role.
  3. Successful creation and implementation of creative social media communications.
  4. Confident and professional approach to targeted business partners, to secure collaborative reciprocal events.
  5. Event organisation and co-ordination.
  6. Analysing and reporting on the impact and conversion press and social media campaigns and events.
  7. Creative and relevant writing of press communications and social posts.
  8. Constantly looking for ways of better optimising our press coverage and social content.
  9. Constantly maintaining the brand tone-of-voice in all communications.
  10. An outstanding communicator, very presentable, who is able to articulate clear press communications to press, bloggers, business partners, customers and colleagues alike.
  11. A team player, working in a fast-paced start-up environment, and adhere to all training and company guidelines and policies provided.
  12. Attention to detail a must, and project management skills desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Proactively manage and create press communications to targeted beauty, news, and lifestyle press, in line with GENEU brand positioning.
  2. Create and manage GENEU social media content, followers and following, in order to drive reach, engagement and traffic of targeted customers online to GENEU.com and into stores.
  3. Proactively engage and reach targeted influencers and bloggers.
  4. Create social media and press campaigns in line with to generate relevant social media engagement and press coverage.
  5. Target, liaise and collaborate with relevant business partners to arrange and deliver reciprocal customer events, to directly drive customer acquisition.
  6. Organise and host press, blogger and influencer events and appointments.
  7. Analyse, report on, and measure the success of press coverage, social media and events and communicate these regularly and effectively to the team.
  8. Proactively seek and generate new creative ideas for building GENEU brand awareness with press, social communities and influencers.

Location: Central London
Day Rate: £150 - £250 dependant on experience
