Job Description

The purpose of this role is to create high quality new learning programmes for UK Learning. The Learning Designers will be the primary designers of the blended, engaging and interactive learning programmes to address specific business needs. Learning programmes will leverage technology enabled learning and the principles of social and collaborative environments (70:20:10), all to be suitable for a client facing workforce

Role Overview

  • Assist the Learning Design Manager to create new blended learning programmes, leveraging the use of technology enabled learning and 70:20:10 design principles
  • Provide input when refreshing existing learning programmes in terms of technology enabled learning and 70:20:10 design principles
  • Work with the off/on-shore graphics team to create visually engaging and brand compliant graphics that are effective from a learner and cost perspective
  • Work with SME’s to ensure suitable evaluation metrics are defined at design stage and are measurable in terms of quantitative and qualitative data of all programmes
  • Review/edit existing content in light of post course evaluation, making recommendations to change specific activities so that the required learning outcomes and objectives are achieved
  • Assist the Learning Design Manager in work with Central, Global L&D and Programme Directors to identify where learning content can be harnessed using existing materials, designed using agreed consistent processes and methodologies and that avoid replication and duplication of effort
  • Provide support and report to Learning Design Manager, as required
  • Assist in training Learning Deployment Specialists to provide support to the Design team
  • Support the Head of Learning Design in enforcing protocols for knowledge and training repository

  • Creating highly engaging, blended learning programmes
  • Designing effective learning programmes to address business issues in a client centric organisation
  • Applying new learning technologies and utilising technical development tools
  • Evaluating business impacts of learning
  • Working with business subject matter experts to design effective learning programmes

  • Experience of Instructional Design
