This is a role for a part time book-keeper / Office Manager.  It includes traditional responsibilities of a book-keeper with lots of potential to take on tasks held by Financial Controller.  In addition, there are a few Office Manager and HR duties (just to keep the position diverse and interesting).  The position is well suited to a part qualified accountant looking for additional responsibility and room for growth.  It is an intense 4 day per week role.


  • Receiving and processing invoices from our suppliers
  • Processing payroll and maintain HR records
  • Preparing month end management accounts
  • Chasing late payments from UK customers
  • Entering month end journals and accruals
  • Preparing first draft management accounts
  • Ensuring the smooth running of the office (collecting and sending post, organizing birthday cakes)
  • Onboarding new employees
  • Maintaining ISO documentation including supplier compliance documents

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2+ years experience as a bookkeeper
  • Part qualified accountant
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles, including a solid understanding of the balance sheet
  • Experience working with accounting systems, particularly Xero
  • GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent) essential.
