Manager, Corporate Finance - Social Infrastructure - Open to flexibility

Due to a significant period of growth we are looking for a Manager to join the Corporate Finance, Social Infrastructure team in Birmingham. We provide in-depth advice on the strategic, financial, regulatory and commercial issues to drive investments across Transport, Power & Utilities and Social Infrastructure sectors in the UK and internationally. Social infrastructure is a key business area for the Infrastructure Group and primarily encompasses work in Healthcare, Education, Local Authority and Defence. 
 
Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of relevant engagements on a day to day basis
  • Support proposals and pitch development for new business, as well as developing market intelligence and sector knowledge awareness
  • Building relationships with clients at the relevant levels
  • Introducing new ideas to the team to support in targeting clients
  • Development of financial models and supervising the production of financial models undertaken by junior staff
  • Ensuring compliance procedures are adhered to and risks management
  • Management of project planning, delivery and closure along with engagement administration
  • Production of high quality documentation and presentations
  • Lead internal project teams and external advisers, manage junior colleagues working on decentralised energy generation projects

Qualifications and Skills

  • Recognised professional qualification in Accounting, Banking or Chartered Surveying desired
  • Experience and Background
  • Experience of major capital projects within the public arena, either as a bidder, investor, public procurer or lender ideally within the local government, health or education sectors
  • Sound knowledge of financing structures; particularly debt project finance and equity infrastructure finance including other types of project based financing
  • Familiarity with public procurement processes and skilled in financial modelling and complex financial analysis
  • Ability to understand the risks and issues of infrastructure developments within complex structures
  • Exceptional report and business case writing, Excel and Power-point skills
  • Comfortable delivering presentations to clients
  • An independent thinker with the ability to identify problems and contribute to the development of solutions
  • Influential communicator with a personable approach 
  • Highly motivated, ambitious self-starter, willing to take advantages of the opportunities this position offers
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating as a team and managing small teams
  • Appreciation of a wide range of projects and proposals simultaneously to demanding timetables
