Sales Finance Analyst - Open to flexibility

Grow with us as our Finance Analyst for Sales, based in our UK Head Quarters in Manchester. As Finance Analyst you will be accountable for ensuring trade spend is accurately recorded and controlled across the relevant national accounts. You will gain great exposure by providing Insight & Analysis into account performance to drive sustainable growth. At the same time as providing full support to the Sales Finance Manager with key sales processes and control and reporting requirements, CRM requests and ad hoc analysis.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

As Finance Analyst, you will be part of our success by:

  • Supporting the sales team to ensure effective control and reporting of trade funds
  • Managing the trade management system (CRM) ensuring it is accurate – including managing Off Invoice Allowances, EDLP Funding and releasing/up-weighting spend provisions, ensuring allocation of these are posted in the correct period
  • Working with the Deductions team to manage the above; along with ensuring invoice queries are kept to a minimum
  • Evaluating promotional requests from the account teams
  • Ensuring Promotional Review Forms (PRFs) are completed within agreed timeframes and to control standard
  • Maintaining an efficient S404 system for the account teams to enable efficient retrieval of information & records
  • Managing the monthly production and explanation of trade liability and balance sheet reporting, as required, by the Sales Finance Manager
  • Analysing the month end close results and outlook forecasts, through 'trade walks'
  • Providing clarity on the position of account margin, growth targets, risks and opportunities arising from this
  • Providing support to the annual UK Sales planning process to help deliver robust, well understood plans
  • Working with national accounts to prepare Scenario Planning & Sales Deals Sheets for promotions
  • Ad hoc account specific requests such as Sales Forecasting and JBP Planning

Required:

  • Educated to Degree Level and working towards accountancy qualification Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within tight deadlines in a demanding sales environment
  • Experience of working within a team environment
  • Proven record of demonstrating initiative & delivering results

Preferred:

  • Working towards CIMA qualification would be preferable however any accounting qualification will be considered
