Under the direction of the Digital Transformation and Group Design Authority Director, the Group Design Office (GDO) has been established to provide design and architecture excellence to LBG; accountable for shaping major programmes / change portfolios and responsible for leading proactive shaping of the Group Business and IT Architecture to deliver enterprise value. It's imperative we have the right business architecture and product management capability to drive transformation of the end to end customer experience and enterprise architecture.

And that's where you come in…

As Lead Analyst, Group Design Office, you'll report into the Senior Manager, Group Design Office. In this role that matters, you'll support the definition of strategic and transformational change across a key domain within LBG, as part of the 3rd Group Strategic Review (GSR3), working with the Business, IT and Change partners to design end to end product, channel, operating and platform solutions that build synergies across the whole LBG enterprise and deliver the outcomes required by GSR3. You'll be involved in supporting the shaping of complex areas of portfolios during their infancy to agree how these will be delivered in an optimised Group-wide manner. You'll support the designing of solutions that join up across the portfolio, aligned to the Group strategy, with fit for purpose execution models.

Key Accountabilities:
1. Govern and Align Business Design - Supports effective business design governance frameworks and oversees governance of target state architecture, business design principles and Group-wide design artefacts. Uses these core artefacts to support the governance of designs to ensure alignment of change with business and IT strategy, both within business areas and across the LBG enterprise.
2. Design Definition and Alignment - Supports the target end state definition and develops the design for elements of a key domain delivering critical elements of the Group Strategy. Validates the alignment of designs with strategic drivers across the portfolio and with the Group Strategy. Looks for innovative solutions; "think out of the box" and supports the development of best in class solutions. Contributes to researching and development and provides recommendations on how to develop propositional, business, & technical capabilities
3. Design Issues - Manages the effective identification, impact assessment and resolution of design issues and complex design challenges both within and across divisional boundaries; conducting analysis required to problem solve on specific design, and strategic issues.
4. Stakeholder Management - Proactively builds and maintains external and internal networks to identify best practice and to embed Group Design Authority within the Group
5. People & Self Development - Supports the building of capability, encourages other team members to unleash their potential within their team and embraces the culture of continuous improvement

In terms of your background, we'll be looking for you to have demonstrable experience from a top tier consulting firm and/or held strategic/design roles in large scale transformations. It would be an advantage if this was in Digital and Financial Services, preferably Retail Banking, Commercial Banking or Insurance, giving you an understanding of the industry and its future trends. You'll have knowledge of Enterprise Architecture and Design (inc. exposure to both IT and Business), having supported strategic and operational change. Preferably Degree educated, you'll have an analytical, innovative and strategic mind-set, with good problem solving skills. Your ability to effectively and collaboratively interact with stakeholders will create trust-based relationships at different levels. Credibility is vital, enabling you influence stakeholders at all levels.
