The Adults and Communities Department is responsible for the delivery of the Adult Social Care and Heritage, Leisure and Arts portfolios for Leicestershire County Council.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and talented leader to lead the development and delivery of the Heritage Leisure and Arts functions alongside our departmental strategic services in relation to Business Support Services, Community Care Finance functions and associated support services. The post holder will be accountable at departmental level for health and safety, resilience and business continuity, performance and information technology/information management including taking the role of Caldicott Guardian.

Candidates should possess extensive experience of working within a public sector environment at a high level with demonstrable leadership skills, and knowledge of public sector policy in relation to the portfolio of responsibilities.

The role requires demonstrable experience of leading strategic change together with successful relationship management, partnership development and financial acumen.

Personal qualities of inspirational leadership, enthusiasm and innovation are essential to deliver the high standards of performance and customer service expected by elected members, partners and the public.
