Light Bureau is a world-class lighting design consultancy with offices in London and Oslo. We work on UK and international projects and in 2017, we merged with a major Scandinavian based company called ÅF and now we are steadily growing our business.
 
We are looking for a self-starter who values a creative environment. We think that the role would be roughly 2 to 3 days per week and we can be flexible depending on applicant.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the directors, 

Administration:

  • Be first point of contact with clients and suppliers.
  • Dealing with regular Office Manager duties like ordering supplies, office equipment, staff welfare.
  • Taking care of travel requirements - flights, hotels, trains etc.
  • Dealing with other ad hoc duties that may arise.

Finance:

  • Dealing with relevant costs between London and other parent company offices in Scandinavia.
  • Raise and issue invoices.
  • Checking and processing payments.
  • Managing petty cash transactions.
  • Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals.
  • Preparing management accounts.
  • Assisting third party accountants and auditors with preparation of statutory accounts.
  • Reconcile bank statements and accounts.
  • Chasing debtors.
  • Dealing with regular Office Manager duties like ordering supplies, office equipment, staff welfare.
  • Taking care of travel requirements - flights, hotels, trains etc.
  • Dealing with other ad hoc duties that may arise.
  • Input quarterly VAT return data.
  • Inputting receipts and assisting with time-recording management.
  • Perform month-end duties.
  • Maintain Profit and Loss accounts and balance sheets.
  • Use of industry-standard software such as Sage, Quickbooks, Xero and IRIS Accounting software packages along with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)
  • Maintain CRM database.

Preferably the candidate will be AAT qualified or studying towards an AAT qualification or similar. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
