Trainee HR Business Partner

Two Year Fixed Term / Secondment contract - Full Time

£33,759 - £34,986 per annum SO2 (Effective from 1 April 2019)

We now have an exciting opportunity for someone to apply for the role of a Trainee HR Business Partner to join our busy HR business partner service. Your role will be work across HR and OD to support the team with operational HR issues, organisational development and specific HR projects as allocated including the latest HR developments and new ways of working.  

We are looking for someone with the potential to develop into the role of HR Business Partner, therefore, you will already have a good grounding in Human Resources and Organisation Development gained within a large organisation. You will already possess, or be willing to study for a relevant CIPD accredited qualification with a view  to attaining this during your contract with us.  You will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of the practical application of Human Resources and Organisational Development together with  experience of providing HR advice and guidance to Managers. 

In addition, you will have up to date knowledge of employment legislation and have the ability to work across all areas of HR and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.  A proficiency in the use of information technology and an up to date knowledge of the key issues facing local government service and implications for  human resource management are also required.  You will be self motivated, team orientated, with excellent time management skills.
