Are you an experienced and qualified HR professional, ready for a new challenge within a mid-sized, fast-growing Life-Sciences company?
Our Norwich based client is looking for a senior level HR Generalist who can set up and run an HR function from scratch and operate on a standalone basis.
 
Responsibilities will include:
 
HR Strategy
Develop an HR Strategy with board and manage its implementation across the business
Drive alignment between the HR Strategy and business goals
Provide HR data and statistical analysis to the board as required
 
HR Policies and Procedures
Create / review existing HR policies & procedures / employee handbook
Proactively assist in addressing employee absence issues, advising on long term sick absences where necessary
 
Recruitment
Provide advice to managers on the recruitment and selection process and oversee sourcing processes
Establish relationships with suitable agencies, establishing best practice
Assist managers with succession planning
 
Employee Life Cycle
Manage the administration of the full employee life cycle including new starter instructions, inductions, probationary reviews, appraisals, training & development, acceptance of resignation and exit interviews
Manage staff visas and immigration policies
 
Employee Relations
Manage any employee relations issues ensuring compliance with policy, legislative requirements and best practice
 
Employee Engagement
Ensure maintenance of positive and effective internal communications
Proactively seek out initiatives which contribute to the improvement in culture, engagement and retention

Flexibility: 3 days a week initially (hours can be spread across the week)
This role is likely to increse in hours over time as the business grows

Salary: £50-60k FTE
