Our Disability, Carers & Allies Network is also for team members who care about all and any form of caring, disability and mental health, whether for themselves or as an ally or a carer for a child, relative, or friend. The network shares advice, advocates, and builds awareness within our workplace.

Work-life balance means different things to different people. We understand that our employees have varying responsibilities and priorities outside of work and the reality is that a fixed working routine doesn’t work for everyone. In 2016, we outlined our new Work Life Harmony approach: driven by the leadership team, we introduced internal flexible working policies, the majority of our senior staff have taken part in unconscious bias training, and we continue to drive greater awareness of flexible working options among employees at all levels.

It’s essential that our valued team members continue to strike the right balance between home and work life: to stay healthy, to feel supported and to be motivated on a daily basis. From working parents to young carers, we respect each of our employees’ personal interests and individual aspirations. We’re proud to share that our recent Active Inclusion surveys show an increase in the number of employees making use of available flexible working options available – up to 78% of respondents in 2017 from 61% in 2016.
