PR & Media Manager, Part time
About the Role
Our client has grown from an independent start-up into something much more exciting and is leading the way in high-performance clothing. Your opportunity is to become the new PR and Media Manager to support the team, around 5 days each month and working from home. Through high performance and technical designs, they have been attracting both professionals and hobbyists alike for over 5 years. Totally unique, with an innovative design, our client has been recognised by many of the UK's national media outlets as well as leading industry bodies.
The PR and Media Manager will develop stories and content that help to meet the strategic objectives and strengthen the brand. You will be responsible for delivering the correct message to target audiences and maintain a strong and diverse network, as well as work with colleagues to produce supporting materials including video, photos and infographics. You will work with and write for a variety of platforms, including Facebook and Instagram and supporter communications via email and other offline methods. You will also be responsible for fielding questions from, and pitching ideas to, the media as well as preparing media kits and press releases. You will write articles and prepare materials that you will then tactically release across the appropriate channel, using your network of media contacts to gain coverage within appropriate online and offline publications.
The PR and Media Manager will have a track record of supporting the delivery of communications campaigns, proactively and creatively, across all channels. You will have previously developed and been responsible for public relations and press work, responding quickly and effectively to developing situations including liaison and briefing to the business. The ideal The PR and Media Manager will have experience of writing high-quality copy and an understanding of media as well as a passion for the outdoors and gardening in particular. In addition, you must have the following attributes:

??? Translate and amplify marketing communications strategies
??? A proven record of successfully implementing PR campaigns
??? The ability to build and maintain a large number of industry and media contacts, as well as understand their media needs and requirements
??? Confident, proactive, and eager to work in an entrepreneurial environment
??? The ability and experience to collaborate remotely
??? Excellent organisational skills and the ability to effectively prioritise responsibilities
??? Quick to learn and able to digest and understand complex subjects
??? First-rate written communication skills with an engaging style and close attention to language, grammar and accuracy
??? A sound grasp of social and digital media
The PR and Media Manager will work remotely from their own home. We envisage the role will be around 5 days each month and could fit around other contract work or suit an individual seeking a part-time role
