This is a key role that will manage all aspects of governance, secretariat and business support activities across the E-Serve directorate. You will work closely with senior management and directors to produce high quality board papers, reports and other materials to support effective strategic oversight and governance. You’ll manage a small team to ensure that they provide comprehensive administrative support to senior colleagues within the directorate and establish positive working relationships with senior colleagues in other parts of the organisation. You’ll also play a central role in co-ordinating directorate events and ensuring that budgets are managed effectively.
We expect that you will already have experience of producing reports and papers for senior management and / or Board review, and that you can offer excellent writing and communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. You’ll have highly developed organisational skills that help you prioritise workloads to meet conflicting deadlines, and co-ordinate the contribution of others to best effect. You’ll have a good understanding of how effective governance supports better business performance, and the mechanisms required to support this. A flexible and proactive approach will be key – enabling you to work with limited information by taking the initiative and working in collaboration with others.
