Centre Manager part time 3 - 4 days per week
We are looking for a Centre Manager to take overall management responsibility for a Family Centre run by an inspirational charity in South Oxfordshire. You will be responsible for the day to day timetable, managing staff, looking after the building and budget; as well as building and maintaining relationships with local people and local/national organisations (including with funders).

The Centre Manager has overall responsibility for the effective implementation of strategy, ensuring the management and smooth running of The Centre. Working closely with the trustee board, staff and volunteers they will ensure that the Centre is a vibrant, well-run facility for local residents and that it works to help achieve local residents’ vision for the area.
The Trustees are looking to appoint someone to start in January 2021, and to build on the work of their current Manger in a phased handover. The vision is for someone to initially take on the planning and delivery of a new afterschool project which would support the learning and raise the aspiration of local primary schoolchildren.
This role would suit someone who is self-reliant, energetic and able to prioritise activities.
The successful candidate will also need a commitment to helping members of the community get involved as volunteers, to help them manage tasks and activities at the Centre such as the Community Larder, school homework sessions, children’s centre activities etc. They will have passion, enthusiasm, drive and energy with a strong commitment to make a real difference in supporting the vulnerable and disadvantaged. Ideally they will also have a track record of developing and delivering services.
