International Training Officer

If you are experienced in planning and delivering training courses for adults this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of internationally renowned training courses for the UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO).
The UKHO is a leading centre for hydrography, providing marine geospatial data to inform maritime decisions. We work with a wide range of data suppliers and partners to support maritime navigation, safety, security and marine development around the UK and worldwide.
International training is highly important to UKHO. Our courses provide students with fundamental skills and knowledge required for safety of sea-going navigation. Your role will involve both the design and delivery of training courses to students from hydrography organisations around the world.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering training, in the classroom and online, via digital learning, webinars, seminars and formal lectures and workshops
- Assessing students work
- Providing feedback
- Completing student reports
- Planning training programmes
You will need experience in the training of adults, including Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and of new and emerging learning technologies, especially E-learning and web-based delivery techniques, as well as an awareness of learning development strategies and methodologies.
You will also need a minimum Level 3 Learning and Development qualification (CIPD), Certificate in Training Practice (or a willingness to undertake the qualification) as well as willingness to undertake International Travel and complete SAFE+ training.
