We are seeking an experienced Practice Accountant to join our office based in Ayr, South Ayrshire.

The position would suit someone who wants a good work/life balance looking to work around 3 days per week.

Due to continued and consistent growth we require the services of an Accountant (ideally at least part qualified) with previous practice experience working on a varied client portfolio.

The individual needs to be a self-motivated professional who can help us continue to deliver an outstanding service to our clients.

The successful applicant will be required to take responsibility for all aspects of the accounts process and manage a portfolio of clients. They will receive ongoing development and skills-based training, through courses and technical updates.

The job is part-time, preferably 3 days per week. The key responsibilities are:

?? Preparing accounts and tax for Limited companies, Sole Traders, Partnerships, LLPs. Providing advice and support to clients.

?? Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients.

?? Arranging and attending client meetings.

?? Migrating clients onto cloud accounting systems and the latest digital bookkeeping solutions

Required Skills and Qualities;

?? Part qualified / qualified with relevant and recent experience in a practice environment - experience of working in a practice is a prerequisite for this position.

?? Working knowledge of UK tax laws and accounting standards applicable to small business.

?? Confident in using a range of software packages and able to adapt to various accounting platforms such including: Excel, QuickBooks, Xero, TaxCalc (training will be provided).

?? A knowledge of payroll and pensions would be beneficial.

?? Strong attention to detail and ability to process information accurately.

?? Ability to work to deadlines.

?? Proactive in the role and demonstrates relentless and effective follow through to completion of tasks.

?? Ability to manage own workload and work both independently and as part of the team.

?? Strong communication skills and professional at all times with clients and colleagues.

?? Positive attitude, commitment and enjoys being part of a team.
