Would you like to play a key role and be at the forefront of the transformation of government digital services? We are looking for two talented, visionary Associate Product Managers to join our expanding Digital Register Team. This is an exciting opportunity to positively influence the future direction of HM Land Registry’s digital programme.

You will be the voice of the product within the delivery team and will create and prioritise requirements, ensuring that the best product is developed to meet user needs.

You will join our award-winning Digital, Data and Technology Directorate which is the in-house IT division at the heart of the move to a digital, data-driven organisation with the ambition to provide our customers with cutting-edge digital services.

Job description

As Associate Product Manager, you will actively engage with and balance the needs of all users (end users, stakeholders and business). Throughout product development, you will be accountable for its delivery and quality, ensuring that the product meets both business and user needs.

You will work with the team to make collaborative decisions, taking responsibility for planning, decisions on user stories content and completion, acceptance criteria and prioritisation of the backlog within the team.

You will strive to deliver the vision and direction set by the Product Manager and be the interface between the business and the team communicating to them what needs to be delivered and in what order.


To be successful in this role you will have background knowledge of the product management area and agile methodology and processes. You will have an understanding of user needs and evidence of problem ownership to resolve user issues in delivering change; including creating and maintaining timelines, action plans user stories, and completing evaluation to measure success.

As an Associate Product Manager and a decision maker within the team; you will be a driving force in planning and decision making to support product/change delivery. In addition, you will have proven experience of stakeholder engagement and managing diverse needs and priorities, along with the ability to negotiate and manage expectations.

Successful candidates will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week as the role will require regular travel and this should be taken into account when applying. The successful applicant will be working with a team usually based within in Plymouth.

The Digital, Data and Technology Directorate is the in-house IT division for HMLR.
