Test Manager, Open to flexible working, Full time, Part time

You will join our award-winning Digital, Data and Technology Directorate which is the in-house IT division at the heart of the move to a digital, data-driven organisation with the ambition to provide our customers with cutting-edge digital services.
We are now looking for an experienced Test Manager to join our Digital, Data and Technology team to help us to achieve this.
HM Land Registry's existing software systems and services form part of the critical national infrastructure, safeguarding land and property ownership valued at £7 trillion. This enables over £1 trillion worth of personal and commercial lending to be secured against property across England and Wales.
As a Test Manager, you will be accountable for ensuring that quality is built into development of all solutions at all stages within the development lifecycle. You will provide expert practice advice and guidance as well as practical advice on complex technical testing issues at project level.
You will be accountable for driving forward the quality agenda in the development of IT solutions and devising and monitoring progress using a range of quality metrics. In addition, you will be responsible for developing capability within the test discipline and increasing knowledge and understanding of the importance of building in quality across the wider development community.
To be successful in this role, you will already be ISTQB Advanced Test Manager qualified in Software Testing; or have a proven track record in Test Management and leading digital teams.
You will have experience of creating robust strategies and plans to ensure the quality of our work is maintained and have demonstrable experience in all testing levels (from Unit to Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT)).
As an experienced leader, you will have experience in upskilling others in test automation and test techniques, whilst managing multiple workstreams and the ability to manage risk and implement mitigation plans. In addition, you have experience of continuous integration practices.
Due to Covid-19, the role will initially be home based so an induction and training will be carried out remotely, with full support from the team. Once safe to do so, your home office will be located in the vibrant waterfront city of Plymouth.
The Digital, Data and Technology Directorate is the in-house IT division for HMLR.
