Your role An experienced software development lead who can work effectively on supporting existing applications as part of a wider team. The incumbent will manage a small team of .Net developers (approx. 3-6) using agile based methodologies, e.g. Scrum and Kanban, while providing technical guidance and code reviews.

You will be:

  • Accountable for supplying development and support services for functions throughout Deloitte.
  • Liaising with product owners to manage the team backlog and coordinating activities with other development teams within Deloitte.
  • Accountable for maintaining systems to required SLAs, prioritizing maintenance windows and releases, liaising with the wider Deloitte team to implement global standards and security controls.
  • Maintaining resource forecasts, managing shortfalls through secondment, outsourcing, recruitment etc.
  • Providing guidance to team members and ensuring quality assurance processes are in place. Managing specific aspects of project work as required.

Location: Cardiff or Milton Keynes with capacity for remote working where applicable  

Work pattern:  This is a permanent contract opportunity. The role can be worked on a full-time basis however our team members work a variety of agile working patterns. Tell us what arrangement works for you and we’ll try to accommodate.  

Your professional experience 

  • Experience running and establishing application maintenance teams.
  • A technical background in a range of technologies including open source but specializing in the Microsoft Stack.
  • Proven track record of Cloud based software development Experience within Cloud hosting – Azure / AWS Strong hands-on experience of Azure DevOps/Git for the full development life-cycle Experience of secure coding practices, tools and guidance such as OWASP.
  • Capable of working in waterfall and agile methodologies.
  • MS .Net Framework including ASP.Net/IIS development
  • Previous experience working in a Professional Services organisation Desirable BSc / Msc Information Systems or similar Microsoft Certified Professional Certified SCRUM master SharePoint FROM version 2011 Microsoft Dynamics
