About Us 

Within Social Care and Support, we firmly believe in putting people first. Our work includes delivery of duties in arranging social care and support services for vulnerable people and their families with eligible needs and facilitating protection when needed e.g. safeguarding and mental health related responsibilities. The teams comprise of Admin Staff, Social Workers, Community Care Workers, Occupational Therapists and Operational Managers.

We're looking for Administrative Assistants to join working on a full time basis, 37 hours, or a part time basis, 18.5 hours.  You can be based in the Saltway Centre in Stratford, Saltisford Office Park in Warwick, Kings House in Bedworth or St Cross Hospital in Rugby.

The Role 

Joining our team you’ll be responsible for providing accurate general administrative and routine financial duties including processing invoices and raising purchase orders as well as answering the phones and greeting customers and visitors to our department. You’ll be assisting with organising meetings; taking minutes; diary management; sorting and distributing the post as well as updating our databases. In addition you’ll be undertaking work in different locations across the county to help the wider team as required.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role you’ll need good literacy, numeracy and administrative skills with the ability to analyse information to solve general queries as well as good IT skills including Word, Excel and databases. As you’ll be managing a variety of relationships with different stakeholders, it’s important you have good communication skills and can to work within a team and on your own initiative. Good planning and organising skills; used to working under pressure to meet deadlines; resilient and experience of handling confidential information with tact and discretion is also required. In addition you’ll have experience of taking minutes at meetings; strong attention to detail and be flexible to travel to other locations across the county to undertake work as and when required.
