Execution Engineer - Open to flexibility

The role is to deliver the execution  and or planning of maintenance routines for the Manchester Plant process and packing assets within an agreed business area, by supervising, developing and maintaining a well-balanced, skilled and motivated shift and day based craft team across the plant. Provide technical support and expertise to the plant operational teams managing the maintenance shutdown execution within the plant. To manage remedial works from asset care and planned maintenance inspections.


  • Champion safe working practice ensuring works carried out under the control of the engineer meets current legislation and Kellogg standards.
  • Ensure works carried out under the control of the engineer meet all current quality and food safety legislation and Kellogg standards.
  • Manage the routine maintenance of equipment in the plant to ensure the safe, reliable running of the equipment in the engineers designated area.
  • Assign maintenance tasks to designated craft teams.
  • Ensure maintenance execution to schedule by following good planning practice and monitoring task completion.
  • Work closely with the E2E leaders to ensure alignment of craft priorities.
  • Identify and plan to eliminate any factors inhibiting the maintenance plan execution.
  • Collaborate with the scheduling, operations and improvement teams to ensure plant shutdowns are fully utilized for maintenance.
  • Manage the plant shutdown engineering activity by collaboration with the shift management team for out of hour’s activity.
  • Support the plant operations team to resolve equipment issues impacting plant performance, through the escalation process.
  • Collaborate with the operations management and supervision to ensure the craft shift/day teams have appropriate training and development plans to enable them to maintain and repair the equipment in their area.
  • Ensure the workshops in the plant are maintained to current legislative and Kellogg standard within the engineers designated area.
  • Responsible for managing the time and attendance and performance of their assigned craft team.


  • Educated to a minimum HNC experience with a degree advantageous. 
  • Engineering experience within the food industry. Good organizational and planning skills with the flexibility to adapt to operational priorities.
  • Ability to lead, coach and motivate a team on a day to day basis.
  • Experience of Lean Manufacturing Experience
  • Multiskilled Mechanical / Electrical Background ideal
  • Able to communicate at all levels within the plant environment.
  • Computer literate with a thorough understanding of SAP and Microsoft Office software applications.


The role will be working in the Manchester plant reporting into the Maintenance Execution Manager as part of the Technical and Reliability team.
