Job Description

Main Responsibilities

Arranging and booking travel and accommodation in line with KPMG travel policy

  • Diary management
  • Booking couriers in line with KPMG policy
  • Organising meetings, events and conference calls including inviting attendees, booking rooms and organising catering as necessary. Promoting the use of virtual meetings (Halo/WebEx/Net Meeting).
  • Providing an accurate and prompt copy/audio typing service, as required
  • Preparing and amending Word and Excel documents, including letters, meeting notes, reports and bank and engagement letters.
  • Analysing Excel spreadsheets.
  • Creating and amending PowerPoint slides and presentations.
  • Organising the printing and distribution of documents, liaising with our Document Production Centre for larger print requests.
  • Ensuring accurate data entry onto Client Relationship Management database.
  • Maintaining effective client and internal filing and keep information systems/databases updated; including e-filing with the use of Filesite and DMS. Requesting files from archives using KPMG’s system (Paperchase).
  • Working effectively as a part of the Business Support team, covering roles and being flexible where necessary e.g. covering/providing additional support due to sickness/absence.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as directed.

  • Word (Intermediate level).
  • Outlook (Intermediate level).
  • PowerPoint (Intermediate level).
  • Excel (Intermediate level).
  • Minimum of 45 wpm copy/audio typing

 Other Skills/Requirements

  • Prioritising tasks based on importance and urgency
  • Working effectively within a team environment (within the secretarial team and with other members of staff).
  • Ability to deal with confidential or sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Enthusiastic, positive attitude and good level of initiative.
  • Flexibility


  • 5 GCSEs/O' Levels including Maths and English
  • 3 years of references available on request

  • This is a full time role
  • The role is an E1 grade.
  • The position will be based in our Glasgow office
