An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for an outstanding Consumer Planning Manager - Captain Morgan to join our exceptional, respected Consumer Planning function. Captain Morgan is a brand that is big, and getting bigger – already larger than Bacardi in GB, on the way to £100m, with a vision to be the biggest Rum trademark in Europe. It is the fastest growing Spirits brand in the top 15 in Europe.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the Consumer Planning agenda to bring alive consumer insight, understanding and capability to inspire big ideas for profitable growth.
  • Play a central role in creating/shaping the next generation of Captain Morgan advertising, sponsorship and participation across 22 countries in Europe.
  • Build a pervasive culture where consumers really matter and drive what happens in the business; consistently translates passionate curiosity about consumers/shoppers into tangible business impacts
  • To consistently ‘bring the consumer to life’ as part of the brand thinking, providing appropriate challenge and independence

If you have:

  • Experience working in a Consumer Planning, Market Research or Marketing role within a consumer packaged goods organization with strong brand/consumer focus or within advertising agency planning or in a strategically focused research agency role.
  • Experience in brand positioning and advertising development
  • Expertise across the breadth of possible research and planning techniques.
  • Ability to not just interpret research data, but deliver consumer understanding and insight that is actionable & drives growth
  • Experience in directing and managing research projects across multiple markets, including an understanding of what can and can’t be achieved via different techniques and approaches.
  • Experience in interpreting international research findings
