Global Market Access Director, ViiV Healthcare - Open to flexibility

The role of ViiV Global Market Access Director is responsible for developing payer strategies that have broad portfolio impact and address critical enterprise issues linked to payer customers and global healthcare market place changes.

This role is specifically responsible for leading the development of public/private payer pricing, access and reimbursement strategies for DTG in line assets (Tivicay and Triumeq) that address the evolution of global payer control.  This role will assess the global healthcare marketplace to develop long range strategies and forecasts that incorporate how payer policy, payer perspectives on HIV, and HIV competitors may impact ViiV and ViiV’s patients.  Additionally, this role leads the development of above brand and DTG inline (Tivicay and Triumeq) branded payer value propositions through partnership with cross-functional teams including Global Marketing, Global Health Outcomes, Regional Market Access, and Local Operating Companies (LOCs).  This role also leads key performance indicator reporting for the Global Market Access team across ViiV and competitor brands, and initiates ad-hoc market access projects as needed.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of above brand payer engagement strategies as well as branded pricing, access and reimbursement strategies, including contracting,  for dolutegravir in line assets (Tivicay and Triumeq) to ensure HIV patients have appropriate access to ViiV brands.
  • Lead creation and delivery of above brand global payer situation analysis.
  • Lead development of global payer strategic and operating plans in partnership with Global Marketing, Regional Market Access, Global Health Outcomes and LOCs, and ensure appropriate adoption and implementation of plans at the regional and LOC levels.
  • Lead Long Range Forecast pricing efforts across inline and pipeline brands, partnering with Global Commercial Strategy, Regional Market Access and LOCs. 
  • Conduct ongoing payer insight generation and analysis uncovering shifts in payer control triggers driven by environmental trends, healthcare reforms and/or competitor activities. 
  • Lead creation of compelling payer value propositions and materials that promote universal HIV access, differentiate ViiV from competitors, and demonstrate that DTG is not substitutable. 
  • Partner with Global Health Outcomes, Clinical and Medical colleagues to ensure the DTG Integrated Evidence Plan delivers evidence that supports payer value propositions and sustainable pricing/reimbursement purposes.
  • Lead ongoing key performance indicator analysis and reporting for pricing/access to identify LOC risks and opportunities.  Partner with Regional Market Access/LOCs to develop targeted action plans and/or payer tools to support LOC initiatives to secure/maintain access.
  • Support payer capabilities development training efforts across Advanced Customer Engagement Strategies, negotiations and pricing.
