The Institute of Leadership & Management (formerly known as ILM) is the professional membership body for leaders, managers, coaches and mentors. In pursuit of our mission, and to drive new growth, we’re looking to recruit a home-based PR & Communications Consultant, to work predominantly with the Communications Manager.
- Purpose: To support and grow the Institute’s public relations capabilities and help to deliver a vibrant integrated communications approach with digital, social media, events and public affairs colleagues. To work closely with the communications manager to raise awareness of the Institutes Thought Leadership research programme.
- You’re likely to have been working in an in house or agency PR team or have previous experience as a journalist who has now shifted their skill set into communications. You’ll have experience of pitching to and conversing with national news-desk journalists; and holding you own for nuanced story pitches. A full understanding of how news desks operate is required - in either print, broadcast or online.
As a consultant member of the team you will be home based but some travel within the UK is required . Initially we’re looking for 2 days per week- hours can be flexible and discussed with the manager.
