The Role

We are looking for an experienced HR senior manager who will be a primary contact for country Heads of People and their teams in EMA. The role holder will develop and establishing strong relationships and will advise on, influence and support the HR agenda in EMA.
The successful incumbent will provide counsel on all HR issues, with a particular focus on employee relations, performance development and reward, talent management and employee engagement.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support EMA/EMA PPC to achieve its HR strategic priorities:
  • Project manage the Country Progress Reviews CPR for HR including managing the action planning and follow up
  • Advise on best practice, thought leadership and support EMA countries to build local people strategies
  • Consult on and plan for HR transformation across EMA (embracing new technologies, processes etc)
  • Ensure alignment and coordination with recruiting & resourcing, mobility and L&D across a wide range of people activities
  • Consult on performance development, reward and recognition that encourages one-firm, cross-border activities and other key behaviours
  • Support engagement activities e.g. GPS review and response, raising the bar and taking responsibility for a number of follow ups with countries that are considerably below global benchmarks and norms
  • Manage ad hoc employee relations issues
  • Work as a valued business partner to the EMA leadership and serve as the first point of contact in coordinating resolution of people management issues
  • Hold a role on the EMA PPC Management Team

Professional Experience

  • Experience working in a complex international or diverse cross-cultural environment ideally gained in a professional services firm
  • A track record of development of and implementing forward-thinking HR strategies that include Performance Development, Organisational Development, Talent Management, Employee Engagement and Reward and Recognition
  • Experience of transformational change within organisations or teams arising from the introduction of new technologies or processes, ideally with experience of managed collaboration to effect the transformation
  • Some experience at a senior level with the ability to enthuse others in support of effective people management
  • Experience working within a matrix organisation and mobilising direct and indirect resource
  • A compelling blend of strategic and operational skills, able to deliver innovative HR plans and initiatives that have a lasting impact on the organisation and its operating performance

  • Significant HR subject matter expertise across a range of Human Resource fields
  • Comfortable with complexity and finding a new path or solution coupled with strong business acumen
  • Proven advisory and client management skills
  • Ability to establish and build multiple, strong, professional relationships with relevant groups both inside and outside the immediate business area
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong client service orientation
  • Willingness to travel internationally (sometimes at short notice)
