The Transition Labs help our most senior clients achieve personal success. Through a personalised one day workshop (a Transition Lab), we help a senior C-suite individual frame their priorities, assess their talent and organisation, and identify different approaches to managing stakeholder relations. The sessions are conducted by a small team of experienced Deloitte facilitators.

There is an exciting opportunity within the Transition Labs team to support the delivery of the programme and management of the Labs. The role sits within the Executive and Board Programmes (EBP) team.

Your role

The role of the Lab Manager is critical to the success of the Labs in managing the end to end preparation and engagement processes, with all stakeholders, to enable the senior partners within the firm to deliver a valuable session to the client.

The Lab Manager will bring in their experience from across the Labs and seek relevant information across the firm, to ensure consistency in delivery and appropriate targeting to strategic clients and engagement with the wider business. The role is supported by the Transition Lab operations team.


  • Support the business in positioning the Transition Lab to the client – joining client calls and tailoring comms to create impact.
  • Manage and coordinate the Transition Labs, from initial opportunity through to debrief and completion, supported by the Transition Lab operations team.
  • Advise internal account teams on their role in the Lab process and manage the account team’s contribution to the prep work, including leading internal preparation, planning and training calls.
  • Speak with senior clients (CXOs, NEDs) and their office on matters relating to the Transition Labs, engagement and prep work.
  • Develop understanding of client issues and create succinct and impactful preparation materials. 
  • Provide quality control for the Lab outputs, crystallise key client issues and contribute to continuous improvement of the programme.
  • Develop facilitation skills in the Transition Lab methodology and Business Chemistry approach, to be able to support Labs where appropriate.
  • Manage diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

Location: London

Work pattern: This is a 12 months fixed term contract opportunity. The role can be worked on a full-time basis.  

Your professional experience

  • Excellent senior stakeholder relationship and client management capability
  • Structured  and diligent approach to managing activities and tasks with a high attention to detail
  • End to end project management experience
  • Good and confident communicator who can interact with senior clients and Deloitte Partners, both verbally and in writing
  • Good experience of managing multiple stakeholders with conflicting demands
  • Proactivity, self-motivation, and desire to deliver
  • Good judgement skills
  • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)

Personal independence
