About the Role

The Digital, Data and E-Commerce category is seeking to deliver value creation to support operating margin improvement and competitive advantage through sourcing, negotiation, ROI optimisation and agency management, leveraging the optimal balance between efficiencies and effectiveness of our A&P investment.

The Global Category Manager will be responsible for driving value by ensuring commercial elements of category spend are brilliantly executed with vendors. You will lead sourcing decisions with key stakeholders, supporting on the maximisation of value and ROI whilst minimising risk and assuring quality of delivery and performance.

This role plays a key part in developing and driving the Diageo data and e-commerce transformation, articulating the journey and vision to align stakeholders, while unlocking the value and business performance that data can bring.

You will be required to work across a range of complex projects with multiple stakeholders, showing effective management of time and priorities and providing detailed Supply Chain knowledge.

About You

We are looking for a dynamic individual with the ability to thrive in an agile and fast-paced environment while prioritising in line with business needs. You’ll have relevant marketing science, campaign analytics, and ad tech systems experience in an FMCG or agency environment with proven experience in key procurement skills including negotiations, forecasting and benchmarking. It would be great if you have demonstratable analytical skills, including forensic understanding of the cost drivers to target and influence costs through end-to-end value.

The ideal candidate will bring marketing science, campaign analytics, and ad tech systems expertise to the team, leading and enhancing our understanding of the agency/partner landscape, innovations, technologies and the processes to drive value and minimise risks.

You will be working in a category that is complex, with varying stakeholder needs, and key relationships at an executive level, therefore, strong business partnering, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills are key. A solid understanding of the industry landscape and how to navigate is essential.

We are seeking a candidate that can be a lead contributor to determining how value is captured and the metrics that Diageo should be measuring. This means you will be influencing, supporting and shaping the development of the business strategy and ways of working.
