If you love variety, thrive on a busy role and have exceptional knowledge of Payroll then this role is definitely one for you. You'll have the opportunity to join an award-winning business as a Payroll Assistant, based in beautiful offices in Nottingham City Centre.

This role is open to both full time and part time applicants and is a permanent role, covering a number of weekly and monthly client payrolls, everything from data receipt through to finalisation and pension processing will be your remit.

Requirements for Payroll Assistant are;

Recent or current payroll processing experience within a bureau or accountancy practice
Confident with using payroll systems, ideally Iris/Star
Knowledge of recent HMRC legislation and schemes
Confident with running different types of payroll through the month
Solid understanding of pension processing
Confident with dealing with queries
You'll be looking after your own portfolio of clients, have bags of support from the business, along with the tools and processes you'll need to be successful.

Responsibilities for Payroll Assistant

Directing the collection, calculation, and entering of data
Updating payroll records as required
Processing all payroll data through the payroll system
Processing any Tax Change notifications, AOE & Employee Loans
Completing the pay run and generating payslips
Preparing payroll reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes and deductions
Processing pension data and managing the pension account
Providing payroll information by answering questions and requests
