About the Role
From our stunning roof top bars to our amazing food offering the Assistant Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager will inspire our hospitality team and drive world class customer service. This role will be instrumental in creating the world’s most extraordinary and iconic hospitality experiences at Johnnie Walker Princes Street for all guests.
The Assistant F&B Manager will be responsible for establishing and maintaining exemplary standards of professional service, responding proactively to identify and take ownership of customers experiences. You will be working with a number of stakeholders such as our Head Chefs and kitchen teams, Experience and Retail teams, as well as our Brand Ambassadors to create a world-class hospitality experience for our guests.
You will support with the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring the teams are fully briefed before each shift and assisting with training and staff development as well as continuously improving the team’s personal development growth. Actively participating in all aspects of service and guest interaction, you will also assist in strategically designing exceptional menus to mirror industry trends, purchasing goods, and continuously make necessary improvements operationally.
Along with this, you will work with the F&B Manager to develop imaginative menus, profitable pricing structures and processes to cater for diverse market segments, including international visitors and connoisseurs. This will involve having a strong insight into market trends and continuously reviewing our products, operational standards and service offerings to maximize customer experience and profitability. You will also manage the rostering of the F&B department.
This is the perfect position for someone with management experience of F&B operations in a high-end visitor experience/hospitality business where world class service is a minimum expectation. You’ll be a true leader and empower others to work collaboratively with a positive and enthusiastic approach and the ability to develop, support and encourage the team to ensure that you are all set up for success.
You will have a proven track record of hitting world-class standards within customer service, delivery of targets and KPI’s and inspiring engaged and passionate teams. You will be committed to exceptional standards of customer service and be up to date with current food and beverage trends with menu creation skills and the ability to suggest ways to increase the department’s revenue. Administration skills and the ability to operate computer systems are also required.
This role will have operational complexity and as such strong influencing, negotiating and advocacy skills, with the ability to think analytically, independently, and strategically is required. This role will require weekend and evening work.
