What impact will you make? The Opportunity

Our Shared Services Organisation(SSO) is responsible for providing shared services in Finance, IT, HR, Tax and Pensions to the UK and Swiss firm. As Assistant Communications Manager you will support the Communications Manager in developing and executing its Communications and Engagement strategy. As well as reporting to the Communications Manager you will work closely with the Projects and Operational Excellence team to help ensure firm wide and local communication plans, projects and campaigns are well executed.

You will be required to build strong relationships and work collaboratively across the SSO, as well as with key stakeholders across the North West European firm.

You will also be tasked with producing a clear corporate narrative that is aligned to the firm’s business activities and supports our 2020 strategy - to become the global undisputed leader in professional services.


Your role will be primarily based in Milton Keynes with occasional travel to London and Cardiff. The SSO has teams based in Milton Keynes, London,Cardiff and Hyderabad, India.


This is a 37.5 hour a week, 12 month Fixed Term Contract. Agile working is welcome encouraged.


Culture development

  • Contribute to and execute SSO Communications Plan
  • Support delivery of CDC and MK engagement activities
  • Generate ideas supporting our communications strategy
  • Support delivery of SSO-wide (UK and India) employee communications

Projects and Operational communications delivery

  • Deliver employee and change management communications
  • Collaborate with internal communications network
  • Provide support to Employee / Customer Roadshows

Channel management

  • Management of all SSO Communication channels
  • Ensure Global brand guidelines are adhered to
  • Track effectiveness of all communications


  • Internal communications professional with experience managing internal communications channels, driving employee engagement and managing senior stakeholders in a complex multi-stakeholder environment
  • Operational communications experience within a large organisation
  • Ability to operate effectively in a “virtual” team working environment, often working autonomously
  • Plans proactively and responds reactively to deliver against current priorities – confident dealing with some ambiguity in scope and direction
  • Qualifications such as CIPR, Melcrum or other professional Internal Communications qualifications are beneficial
  • Excellent Office skills, in particular PowerPoint
  • Social Media and SharePoint skills are desirable
