An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Audit Manager within Group Internal Audit's Conduct, Compliance and Regulatory Risk Team.

Based in a high performing team, you will play a key role in leading on the delivery of a diverse portfolio of audits across all areas of Lloyds Banking Group, with a principal focus on conduct risk and regulatory compliance.

Due to the broad nature of the role, recent and relevant experience in one or more of the sectors the Group operates in and a detailed knowledge of conduct regulation would be advantageous, as would experience of working at a similar level in an internal or external audit or risk assurance function.

Your experience and knowledge of systems and controls will help you in leading teams to provide reliable and independent assurance on the effectiveness of the control framework and in identifying key risks and potential areas for improvement.

You will provide audit and/or subject matter expertise on audits of varying scale and scope, on topics and areas of the business where conduct and/or regulatory compliance has been determined a key risk. You will also be the primary reference point within Group Internal Audit for your key areas of responsibility and expertise.

You will be expected to effectively influence and foster relationships with senior colleagues in first, second and third lines of defence, as well as using your own network and a variety of sources to keep up to date with commercial and regulatory developments. A key facet of this role will be to support business management in understanding and accepting where action needs to be taken in order to protect the Group.

In addition, you will work proactively across the Group to understand and evaluate current and emerging conduct and regulatory risks and how they can drive additional business risks. You will also play a key role in the decision to close issues identified during audits.

You will use the audit methodology to deliver audits within defined time, cost and quality parameters. You will naturally keep abreast of audit best practice and will oversee the work of others to ensure the appropriate standards are maintained.

In addition to the above, you will have strong influencing and motivating skills and be able to apply these in a complex and diverse stakeholder environment. You will also have a proven track record of delivery and excellent analytical and communication skills.
This role may include line management responsibilities.

  • Relevant, transferable knowledge of conduct risk and/or regulation gained within an Audit or Risk related role
