Shakespeare’s Globe is looking for an experienced strategic and solutions focussed Chief Financial and Operations Officer. This is a Directorate level post which seeks to lead on strategic business planning, financial management, corporate governance and operational support as we emerge from the significant challenges and impact of the national pandemic on the cultural sector and seek to develop our recovery and rebuilding plans.

We require an experienced finance professional who has the ability to focus on delivery, provide purpose and direction, and who will work collaboratively with the Globe’s Directorate Team and support our people to perform at their best, whilst also making a personal impact within a dynamic and fast moving organisation.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working at executive level within a consumer-focused, complex, multi-dimensional organisation with a significant number of employees, volunteers and freelancers.  They will demonstrate high level strategic business planning and rigorous financial management, be a proven leader, with excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.

The ability to question and evaluate existing practices to improve impact and effectiveness, maximise value from existing resources, and identify opportunities to establish new ways of working and thinking will also be essential requirements of this post.
