GSK have a new opportunity, on a 18 month secondment, for a CH HR Transformation & Separation Communication Manager.

The role of a comms manager is to deploy the required communication approach for CH HR Transformation/Separation & Separation People workstream, using the framework agreed with the CH Global Communications & Content team as well as the guidelines and tools provided to successfully deliver and deploy the specific changes within Consumer Health.

Reporting to the Separation People Transition Lead with a dotted line report into to the Transformation Communications Director, the comms manager role will facilitate the comms materials and approach to manage the impact on the internal customers of our team. This role will work closely with the Transformation/Separation HR Leads, and the Separation People Leads.

The role will ensure that CH teams are engaged appropriately to support the Transformation & Separation change journey and provide consistent and meaningful material to support and embed the change with minimal business disruption.

Working closely with Workstreams Leads as well as the Change and Comms leads this role will develop and deliver the appropriate comms plans including content creation, tactical planning and local implementation as needed. The role requires matrix delivery across the People and HR workstreams, as well as the Separation and HR Transformation Comms and Change leads and the Future Ready Office to ensure alignment in messaging and impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop appropriate communication plans for the CH HR Transformation/Separation and Separation People Workstreams and their relevant stakeholders, suitable for use across multiple channels e.g. Leadership meetings, community calls, Workplace etc & liaising with the CH Transformation Communications direct and Global CH Communications team on appropriate use of our CH global channels.
  • Deliver all relevant content required to execute communications plans, aligned to People Separation and HR Transformation guidelines
  • Proactively plan and track change & communication key milestones, gather regular feedback regarding impact of comms plan and suggest adjustments where necessary
  • Report and escalate risks and concerns to relevant workstream leads
  • Manage FAQs as required
  • Co-ordination/guidance on channels of communication (i.e., who are our in-market contacts, how we communicate, and coordination across our workstreams)
  • Ensure consistency in our communication material (i.e. the overarching messages etc).
  • Provide communications insights and counsel into the work of any agencies brought on to support work in these areas.
  • Build in KPIs to programme work to monitor success & guide programme development.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified, Communications/Change Professional who has worked in partnership with the business at a senior level.
  • Someone who demonstrates learning agility, able to deal with ambiguity and influence stakeholders
  • Experience in supporting or leading communication and change during large restructuring change programmes
  • A confident communicator who demonstrates a good track record of partnering directly with senior HR & business leaders; translating business change into high quality communications and change solutions.
  • Ability to deliver against demanding projects or initiatives and meeting criteria of time, cost, quality, risk assessment, and performance.
  • Strong creative writing and communication asset development, editing and visual storytelling skills.
  • Good working knowledge of internal and external digital channels (including Workplace by Facebook, LinkedIn Elevate).
  • Experience in working with multi-country Communications & Change teams
  • Experience in making decisions at a strategic level, while ensuring hands-on delivery of required work.
  • Someone who demonstrates calmness under pressure, with a 'can do' attitude and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Someone who values teamwork, who can prioritise and is motivated to work in an agile way, and who wants to leverage data and insights to continuously improve our employee experience.
  • Cultural awareness and ability to work across a highly matrixed environment with differing projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent leadership capability to manage people and processes
  • Matrix management and global management skills
