Team Leaders are a challenging yet hugely rewarding role within the UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO), responsible for ensuring the management of resources and engaging team members to achieve successful outcomes for the business.
We are now looking to fill a minimum of three Team Leader roles within our Operations and Production divisions. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring that your team delivers output to time, cost and quality standards for your functional area and that team members are effectively supported and developed.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing staff within the team
- Planning and managing all work within the team, ensuring that weekly targets for cost, quality, quantity and timeliness are met
- Reporting output metrics and issues to the Team Manager
- Supporting the Team Manager in embedding new processes and our ongoing digital transformation
- Deputising for the Team Manager as required
We are looking for candidates with some line management/supervisory experience and the ability to foster a positive team culture, particularly in times of change. Experience of work scheduling/resource planning would also be beneficial.
On taking up the post, successful candidates will be required to undertake and complete the Level 3 Team Leader Apprenticeship, if they haven’t already undertaken this, or a similar line management development programme.
