This role is an opportunity to experience Supply & Procurement Finance, working through 2-3 key business partner roles over a ~24 month period to build up a rounded knowledge of the Diageo Supply Chain & Procurement function.  Rotational opportunities will be balanced to meet your personal development aspirations and the needs of the business and will include two or more of the following functional responsibilities; distilling and maturation, manufacturing, supply chain (logistics), planning and procurement finance.  For exceptional candidates a second or third rotation in our strategy or transformation teams may be possible.

What you'll be doing

  • The business partner should be connecting strategy with execution – meaning involvement with or driving major strategic or tactical initiatives such as cost savings or revenue optimization projects, including recommendations on resource allocation.
  • Delivery of a robust governance and control environment and an effective risk management agenda for the area of the business being partnered.
  • Bring financial rigour to decision making, projects and workstreams in support of Supply & Procurement.
  • Bring financial insights to target setting to ensure both short term and multi-year priorities are considered
  • Ad hoc scenario-planning and sensitivity analysis of key performance drivers, including business cases, prescriptive analytics and projects which support the sustainability agenda.
  • Identifying opportunities to strengthen profitability or reduce financial risk through value creation initiatives which reduce COGS and drive margin enhancement.

  • Part / newly qualified management accountant preferred
  • Self-motivated and resilient, able to proactively identify issues and drive delivery of solutions
  • Strong personal impact, deliver great performance, challenging and holding the teams to account
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written, able to distil and communicate complex information.
