Programme Officer, Open to flexible working
The Skills & Employment Unit promotes and delivers the Mayor’s Skills for Londoners (SfL) strategy, policies and their associated delivery priorities. The G7 Programmes Officer role is part of the Skills Programme Management Office (PMO) situated in the Unit’s Programmes & Governance team which provides efficient programme management support for all the Unit’s programmes and high-quality committee services to the various SfL governance bodies. Programmes supported by the PMO include the delegated Adult Education Budget (AEB), the European Social Fund (ESF), Mayor’s Ditigal Talent Programme and the Mayor’s Construction Academy.
We are looking for someone who has knowledge of project and programme management especially project planning, financial and performance analysis. You will have advanced level skills in MS Excel, and be able to utilise it to develop reports, dashboards and analysis tools as well as mange and develop databases. You will need to be highly numerate, show attention to detail, be able to work as part of a team, and be comfortable working across multiple work strands, to deliver high quality programme support in a friendly and professional manner.
This role will have overall responsibility in support of the Senior Programme Officer to capture the performance of the ESF programme delivery, make sure that the learner record evidence is prepared consistently and process the accurate income from DWP. It would be particularly suited to someone who wants to further their development in the field of performance and financial analysis.

The Mayor recently announced the relocation from City Hall to the Crystal building in the Royal Docks. This position is anticipated to be primarily based at the Crystal Building from January 2022.
