National Account Executive, Open to flexibility

The Wholesale and New Business Team are looking for a National Account Executive to take ownership, support & develop our current customer base of 20 accounts and seek out new opportunities for growth in GB. The 3rd Space & New Business team have a wide ranging customer base across catering and event companies in in GB with a view to growing this significantly in F'18 to F'20.

Critical to your success in this role will be your ability to develop deep customer relationships in a very competitive market. You will use commercial knowledge and insights to deliver results whilst operating with simplicity and creativity, driving optimum operational performance. You will partner the Commercial lead on 3rdspace & new business to grow their footprint and share of the market through a combination of quality-service oriented wholesale model, bespoke activation expertise and linking into the wider Conviviality business.

You will have defined Sales Out P&L ownership and accountability, hold Bi-Monthly review of potential opportunities and hot leads.

You will spend a minimum 2 days per week in trade with existing & prospective customers.

As a member of the Wholesale New Business team there are 5 core aspects to your role to support your progress to broader Commercial roles in Diageo:

  • P&L OWNERSHIP-Responsibility for the 3rd Space & New Business team that currently deliver £6.5m RTM NSV for the Wholesale Channel.
  • PHYSICAL AVAILABILITY-Your performance will be pivotal in shaping the total awareness and availability and market share of Diageo's leading portfolio of brands-particularly in core and reserve spirits.
  • RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT -build relationships with the key stakeholders, decision-makers and influencers in the trade.
  • INTERNAL ENGAGEMENT -A key pillar to success in the role is engaging the business to understand the specifics of the customer agenda and work together to find solutions which deliver commercially. Key teams include CP&A, Field Sales & e-commerce.
  • SUPPORT THE CHANNEL -partner with the Commercial lead and Senior NAM to grow our footprint in the on trade, developing and implementing strategies that will unlock short & long-term growth for our customers and Diageo.
