The Digital Cyber Security Manager will have responsibility for managing several aspects of our security function, supporting Group Digital by ensuring that our applications and infrastructure are delivered in a safe and consistent manner. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of DNS, OSI layers, packet captures, as well as areas such as how to raise Cyber knowledge within and outside of the organisation. You will also provide ongoing support within the Digital Cyber Security team with day to day Cyber Security tasks.

This is a challenging role that provides a real opportunity for a driven individual to become a key member of the Digital Cyber Security team in a high profile area within Group Digital & Transformation.

Your key accountabilities will include being part of a cross-functional security team, investigating and resolving issues, and identifying new security opportunities across Group Digital and Transformation. Additionally you'll maintain and support penetration testing functions within Group Digital & Transformation and will work with Security testing partners to undertake penetration testing of new projects and initiatives. And you'll conduct assurance assessments of projects and 3rd party suppliers, will support new projects and initiatives by providing technical insight, provide technical support during security incidents and create and share MI with key stakeholders.

What we'll need from you;
You'll ideally have worked across people, process, and technology domains with a Security perspective and should also possess a strong delivery focus with an ability to influence stakeholders up to a senior level. Additionally we'll look for you to have a good knowledge of the impact of information security in the security landscape. They should also understand the wider key business drivers, impacts on customer experience, and be able to influence key stakeholders across the group.

There will be ad hoc out of office hours in order to support Cyber incidents.

The role will be based from our Chiswell Street office in London.

Further experience;

  • CISSP, CISM or CEH qualifications would be an advantage
  • Competent in security principles and best practice implementation of security
  • Working knowledge of security testing tools such as Kali, Maltego, tcpdump and wireshark would be advantageous
  • Keen analytical mind
  • Good understanding of DNS, OSI layers, packet captures, TCP-IP, http headers, knowledge of TLS and x.509
  • Understanding of the basic principles of GDPR would be advantageous
  • Understanding of areas such and Education and Awareness, Security Intelligence gathering, Social Media Security
