P2P Process Adoption & Implementation Director, Open to flexibility

Basic qualifications: 

  • University degree/qualified accountant
  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing standard processes globally across an organisation
  • Significant internal and external experience of end-to-end requisition to pay process 
  • Extensive successful experience in business case development and implementing strategy
  • A proven track record in driving significant global change and successfully implementing large scale transformation 
  • Experience of achieving results through others, both through direct management and virtual teams 
  • Significant and relevant industry knowledge of current and emerging end-to-end requisition-to-pay technology and translating into strategy development and implementation

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Ability to use lean sigma techniques and principles
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate and partner with senior management (e.g. CET, SVPs, VPs and Directors in Finance, Procurement, IT and the business)

Details: 

Reporting to the Procurement-to-Pay Global Process Owner (GPO), the P2P Process Adoption & Implementation Director will be responsible for helping deliver the overall end-to-end standardisation and transformation aspects of the Requisition-to-Pay activities across GSK and ensuring there is fully alignment with the Sub-Process Directors and the Regional Process Improvement Expert teams. All with the objectives to help achieve our objectives to improve the buying and supplier experience, as well as reduce our GSK cost to serve.

The role will also be responsible for supporting the delivering cost-to-serve and productivity improvements within the Requisition-to-Pay process, working closely with the Sub-Process Directors within the Requisition-to-Pay and the GPO to ensure end-to-end process connectivity. This will also include working closely with colleagues in Finance Services, the CERPS/M-ERP projects and Procurement to address any productivity issues associated with the deployment of the new platform.

This P2P Process Adoption & Implementation Director will also be accountable for the delivery of major projects and transformation efforts globally.

The P2P Process Adoption and Implementation Director will be the pulse (from all the Regions) of the process, policies, procedures and technical observations, including feedback and issues from the operational teams and supported businesses. In addition, compare and contrast processes and issues within each region to determine to optimal solutions - Ensuring timely and coordinated communication with the P2P GPO and relevant Sub-Process Directors (as required) to enable visibility to support global process improvements and/or insights / co-creation into global strategy.

Consolidate insights, feedback and data from all countries/Regions and business units globally, triage, prioritise proposals (with facts and data) to present to the P2P GPO and the respective Sub-Process Directors to feed into the P2P portfolio management review.

For local/tactical improvements, pass-off to Regional Process Improvement Expert teams for resolution and implementation. Closely monitor and co-ordinate the activities of the Regional Process Improvement Expert teams to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution of the local/tactical improvements identified.

Input/feedback into business cases led by the P2P GPO and Sub-Process Directors taking into account impact of the business cases on the P2P processes operated by the business units in each country/region.

Participate during global project design and development phases to ensure alignment with market/regional needs.

Working with the P2P GPO and Sub-Process Directors to assist, implement and act as a central global P2P point of contact during the deployment and engagement activities for global process and project changes

Leveraging the regional Process Improvement Expert teams utilising best practices, co-ordinate via SLOs and Process Improvement Expert teams the super users/market contacts to assist with collation of data, testing (e.g. DIL) and deployment planning and execution.

Working with the Procure-to-Pay Global Process Owner (GPO) and Sub-Process Directors, to provide input and feedback into the Embed and Grow initiatives. Facilitate and co-ordinate regional embed and grow efforts by utilising the regional Process Improvement Expert teams and working closely with business partners in the regional business units.

Engage with regional CRMs to ensure close alignment with stakeholders. Proactively engage with global and regional stakeholders, both internal and external, to understand issues impacting the Procure-to-Pay process - Propose and agree solutions to address with the Procure-to-Pay Global Process Owner (GPO) and Sub-Process Directors as appropriate.
