Head of Creative Design and Development - open to flexibility

The Transformation Programme is one of the largest programmes in the Bank and a key vehicle for the Bank to accomplish its vision and become a pioneer in the way digital technologies and experiences service our customers across channels.

The Head of Creative Design and Development will be responsible for creative leadership and development across the Design Studio and associated product developments. The role will act as the central point of creative activity and liaison for the Design Studio team working in close collaboration with the Head of Design Strategy and discipline leads. In addition, the role will need to leverage and maintain strong relationships with a significant number of key stakeholders in the wider business. This will allow provision of a creative funnel for the business as well as ensuring that the creative direction is established in a suitable way to ensure the delivery of business objectives. Develops, evaluates and presents concepts, design materials (e.g.prototypes), and other strategic design opportunities.

Your accountabilities will include;
* Researching LBG customers (in conjunction with Customer Labs) to gain an understanding of their requirements and motivations, and use insight and data analytics to drive design strategies and concepts
* Responsible for forward-thinking "what if" work to ensure that the team are considering future design possibilities and opportunities
* Interfacing with senior stakeholders to provide design thinking and strategy outside of the normal day-to-day work
* In association with the team leads, the articulation of the design vision for all relevant concepts and product developments based on market needs and customer requirements
* Socialising the creative vision of the DCX Design Studio ensuring it permeates the business as a whole.

We will look for you to create concepts and design strategies for multiple new and existing products and maintain a design vision as they move throughout the development process. You will also operate as a concept hub both in terms of concepts offered via external agencies and defined internally so that the business has access to best concepts. Additionally you'll be responsible for the presentation of concepts and associated materials throughout the approval process, the liaison and strategic partnership with the Innovation team and the creative/peer review programme, providing creative input to product developments during the pre-initiation, initiation and study phases.
