Senior Policy and Programme Officer (Health), Open to flexibility

This new role will take the lead on a major new piece of work at City Hall to improve mental health across London. Mental ill-health costs London more than £26b a year and contributes to some of the widest health inequalities in the country.

The Mayor of London is championing a new programme with the ambition for Londoners to have the best mental health in the world: tackling stigma, reducing suicides and helping to make good mental health everybody’s business.

We’re looking for someone with the outstanding policy knowledge to build a credible action plan for prevention of mental ill-health, the stakeholder management skills to establish strong partnerships and the commitment to work collaboratively with Londoners and London’s diverse communities to improve well being for all.

What you’ll get is the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and ambitious team, making a difference to one of London’s most important public health issues.

London's diversity is its biggest asset and we strive to ensure our workforce reflects London's diversity at all levels. We welcome applications from everyone regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, faith or disability.

We are committed to being an inclusive employer and we are happy to consider flexible working arrangements. We would welcome applications from candidates who are seeking part time work as this role is open to job share.

In addition to a good salary package, we offer an attractive range of benefits including 30 days’ annual leave, interest free season ticket loan, interest free bicycle loan, childcare voucher scheme and a career average pension scheme.
